This paper investigates the structural performance of concrete-filled stainless steel tubular (CFSST) columns composed rectangular and square sections. A fiber-based mathematical model is developed to simulate nonlinear such loaded concentrically accounting for local buckling tube. An accurate lateral pressure model, as well a strength degradation parameter are proposed based on existing test results incorporated in modeling developed. large dataset used validate accuracy numerical prediction. The employed study sensitivities important column parameters their axial behavior. confinement CFST evaluated predicting CFSST short columns.
